How do I know what size belt I need for my deck? ›

For most decks you need to reduce the belt diameter by 5%. But belt size is very dependent on the particular mechanism, some decks need it tighter. You can try belts 90% and 95%.

The deck belt is the one that powers the blades and the drive belt powers the tractor's motion. The deck belt comes with the deck when you remove the deck but the drive belt remains with the tractor.

Take your existing pants size and then add two inches to the number. For instance, if your pants waist size is 38, then your belt size would be 40. You can also find your belt size by measuring a belt you already own that fits well.
